CYRUS S. NOORIALA
President / CEO
Cyrus Nooriala has served as President and CEO of Cywest Communications, Inc since July 1998. Before Cywest, Cyrus founded various companies providing leading-edge technologies to meet the demand for faster and more cost-effective means of communication. He has held various positions, from software design in early virtualization technologies to bridging the gap between mainframe systems and the Internet. Mr. Nooriala attended the University of California, Irvine as a Mathematics Major, and California State University, Fullerton where he double majored in Computer Science and Business Marketing. During this time, Mr. Nooriala began his entrepreneurial endeavors and has remained a solid influence in the industry ever since.
STEVEN H. BUCK
VP of Operations
Steven Buck is responsible for the overall performance and availability of the Cywest network. He graduated in 2001 from California State University, Fullerton with a BSc in Computer Science. Steven has worked in the IT field for over 15 years, holding positions which include Software Designer, Systems Administrator, Systems Engineer, Cloud Engineer, and Infrastructure Designer. Steven's certifications include VMware VCP6-DCV, VCAP5-DCV, MCITP Server Administrator Windows 2008, MCT Windows 7, MCT Windows Server 2008 Active Directory, MCT Windows Server 2008 Applications Infrastructure Configuration, MCT Windows Server 2008 Network Infrastructure Configuration.
Director of Channel Sales
Alan Fortier’s professional experience encompasses all facets of channel interface including partner recruitment, development, go-to-market strategies, training, and relations. Prior to joining Cywest Communication, he spent fifteen years in the channel organization at Cisco where he recruited, managed and developed partners and partner programs in the USA and globally. He served in a similar position at Trace Security, a risk management firm that provides cyber security and compliance services. Alan has been in the high tech industry since joining the Air Force, where he wrote code decrypting intercepted data for the NSA.
ROBERT R. RICKS
Support System Developer
Robert Ricks is responsible for creating and expanding the software that controls Cywest's customer support tools, as well as the systems used for New Business Development. Before joining Cywest, Robert owned a design & marketing consulting company where he managed projects for clients including The Biggest Loser, NBC, McDonald's, Sony, Microsoft and Fujitsu—just to name just a few. With over 24 years of design, project management and marketing experience behind him, Robert is excited to help Cywest lead, whether it be with internal user interfaces or by expanding client access to smartphone apps.
JOSHUA M. OFFLEY
Director of Customer Support
Joshua Offley works directly with our customers and support team members to develop a culture and process to deliver a best-in-class customer service experience. After spending over a decade working in customer service, Mr. Offley understands the driving force behind the strategic development of process and technology, to deliver key service outcomes for the customers. Mr. Offley holds a BS in Information Technology – Computer Forensics and Security Emphasis, with a Minor in Criminal Justice from Utah Valley University. Additionally, Mr. Offley is certified as a VMware VCP6-DCV professional.
JAMES P. STAPLETON
Advisor to the Board
James P. Stapleton is currently the CFO at Ozone International, LLC, which provides ozone equipment and solutions to food processors. From February 2012 to June 2012, Mr. Stapleton was the Chief Financial Officer for Jones Soda (NASDAQ: JSDA). From 2007 to 2011, he was a consultant and advisor to small, publicly traded companies. From May 2005 through July 2007, he acted as CFO of Bionovo (NASDAQ: BNVI). From January 2003 through April 2005, he was the CFO of Auxilio (OTCBB: AUXO). From 1996 through 2002, he worked various positions for Prosoft Training (NASDAQ POSO), including Corporate Secretary, Vice President of Investor relations, and CFO. He was CFO of BioTek Solutions, Inc. from 1995 through February 1996. Mr. Stapleton graduated from the University of California at Irvine (UCI) in 1995 with an MBA, and from the University of Washington in 1985 with a BA in Economics.
BRENT A. ANDREWSEN
Advisor to the Board
Brent A. Andrewsen is currently a Shareholder of the law firm Kirton McConkie, PC, and serves on the firm’s Board of Directors. Mr. Andrewsen was selected as one of Utah Business Magazine’s top “Forty Under Forty” up-and-coming business leaders for 2012 and was selected to be included in The Best Lawyers in America, 19th edition, for his work in the Trust and Estates area. He also has been recognized as one of Utah's Legal Elite and one of Mountain States Super Lawyers Rising Stars for estate planning and nonprofit law. Mr. Andrewsen graduated from Brigham Young University with a BA in Political Science in 1997 and graduated cum laude from Washington & Lee University Law School, Lexington, VA, with a Juris Doctorate in 2000.
